Only 1,377 of the 1966 GT350s were ever built. This Ivy Green example with White Racing Stripes represents one of the model’s most desirable color combinations, with Ivy Green accounting for roughly 17.8% of total production.
 
To understand the significance of the 1966 GT350, you first have to know its predecessor, the ’65. That earlier model confirmed Shelby’s reputation for race-bred performance and made the evolution into the 1966 model year especially important, as Shelby broadened the GT350’s appeal without sacrificing its identity.
 
While mechanical details such as the dash-mounted tach, Cobra dress-up components, and performance upgrades helped distinguish the ’66 from the original ’65, it was the expansion of exterior colors and Shelby’s unmistakable visual identity that most defined the model. Finished here in Ivy Green with White Racing Stripes, this example captures the look that made the GT350 instantly recognizable and highly sought-after by collectors.
Top Racing Stripes were optional, not standard equipment, so it is entirely correct to see original cars either with or without them. We chose stripes.
